Epic consists of three major natural gas transmission pipeline systems. These pipelines are strategically well located, servicing major participants in the Australian gas and energy sectors.
Following the completion of the QSN Link in January 2009, Epic Energy's pipelines now serve four markets in Australia: South Australia, New South Wales, north west and regional Queensland and the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

MAPS is a 1,184 kilometre pipeline (including laterals) with a current partly compressed capacity of approximately 250 terajoules per day.
The pipeline provides gas transmission to Adelaide and South Australian regional centres from the Cooper Basin production and processing facilities at Moomba and, following completion of the QSN Link, the coal seam methane gas fields of south east Queensland.
Since completion of the QSN Link, which is being operated as an extension of the SWQP, the SWQP is a circa 935 kilometre pipeline with a current partly compressed capacity of approximately 180 terajoules per day connecting Wallumbilla in Queensland to Moomba in South Australia.
The SWQP enables gas to be supplied from the coal seam methane fields of south east Queensland to power stations in regional Queensland and to the Mount Isa market, via third party pipelines, and through connections at Moomba into the Moomba to Sydney pipeline for on-shipping to New South Wales and through Epic's MAPS to South Australian markets.
The PPS includes three pipelines with a mainline uncompressed capacity of approximately 170 terajoules per day. The Pilbara Energy Pipeline (PEPL) is a 219 kilometre pipeline that runs from a connection point to the Burrup Extension Pipeline (BEP) outside Karratha, to its terminal point outside Port Hedland, where it connects to the power units that comprise the Port Hedland power station and separately to the Port Hedland to Telfer gas pipeline.
The 24 kilometre BEP connects Woodside's North West Shelf processing plant at Dampier to the PEPL outside Karratha. The 80 kilometre Wodgina Lateral connects PEPL to the Sons of Gwalia tantalum mine at Wodgina.
