
Andrew Day (Chief Executive)
Andrew joined Hastings as Chief Executive in October 2011. As an experienced chief executive in both domestic and international markets, Andrew has a solid track record in leading complex businesses across diverse industries, locations and stages of development. He is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Hastings and is a Director.
Prior to joining Hastings, Andrew was Chief Executive of investment company Eircom Holdings Ltd where he managed the Irish telecommunications and Israeli directories businesses. Andrew’s previous roles included chief executive and Chairman of Truvo, a European-based private equity owned company with a complex portfolio of companies. In his role as chief executive, Andrew transformed Sensis into Australia’s largest advertising and search business. He also held various senior roles at Telstra Corporation including Managing Director, Commercial and Consumer Sales.
Andrew has Bachelor degrees in Engineering and Science with dual honours and a Masters of Engineering Science from the University of Adelaide.

Anthony Cherubin (Director, Human Resources)
Anthony joined Hastings in April 2008 and has extensive experience in human resource strategies including remuneration frameworks, performance management and leadership development.
Prior to joining Hastings, Anthony held various roles at Telstra including Director HR Telstra Operations, Group Manager, Rewards & Equity and Group Manager, Superannuation. Anthony was also an alternate trustee director on the Board of Telstra Super and trustee director on other related Telstra Superannuation Fund Boards.
Anthony has a Bachelor of Business from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from Deakin University.

Colin Atkin (Executive Director)
Colin joined Hastings in October 2008 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the domestic and international finance markets, including a decade of infrastructure and utilities specialisation.
Colin is a member of the Hastings Investment Committee and the Westpac Essential Services Trust Investment Committee and was promoted from Chief Operating Officer to Chief Executive Officer of the ASX-listed Hastings Diversified Utilities Fund (HDF) in March 2011. Colin is also a director on the Boards of Epic Energy and ElectraNet and has held several directorships for existing and previous investments including airports and Hastings Timberland investment companies.
Prior to joining Hastings, Colin was Director of Fund Ratings and a director within the Corporate and infrastructure credit rating group with international credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s. Colin rated domestic and international infrastructure funds, providing specialist coverage of water, gas and electricity utilities, airports, seaports, road, rail, telecommunications and oil and gas extractive industries. Previously, Colin was at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where he worked in European investment banking and debt capital markets. Working across a number of infrastructure and utility companies, Colin participated in the first regulatory reset for water and sewage companies.
Colin has a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

David Lee (Director, Portfolio Construction & Strategic Analysis)
David joined Hastings in November 2008 with over 25 years’ asset consulting experience for major Australian, New Zealand and Asian superannuation funds and other financial institutions. As an alternative asset specialist, David has developed and implemented innovative approaches to portfolio construction.
David is Chairman of the Investment Committee and is responsible for analysing the key macro-economic drivers of portfolios and providing input to origination and equity asset management strategies.
Prior to joining Hastings, David was a principal at Mercer Investment Consulting responsible for servicing a number of key clients and developing alternative asset investment solutions. Previously, David was Managing Director, Global Strategic Services for Citigroup Asset Management, located in New York and then London. In 1994, David co-founded the boutique alternative asset advisory firm Quentin Ayers.
As a respected educator, David has lectured in finance and investments at the University of Adelaide, the Australian National University, The University of Melbourne, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Macquarie University.
He has a Master of Philosophy in Economics from Cambridge University, a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Economics, with Medal in Commerce, from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Melbourne. He has a Certificate in Investment Management as mandated by the Financial Services Authority in the UK. He is currently completing a PhD in the Philosophy of Science at The University of Melbourne on the methodology of financial economics.
Dr Allan Wain (Director of Strategy)
Allan joined Hastings in February 2010 and is a member of the Hastings Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Hastings, Allan was an economics and strategy adviser to the Office of the President and Cabinet in the Middle East and the Managing Director of an investment development company. Previously Allan was at BHP Petroleum where he was strategy adviser to the chief executive and the Principal Economist. In this role Allan was responsible for identifying, evaluating and financing offshore oil and gas and related infrastructure assets. Allan was also a director of a management consulting firm.
Allan has studied at the University of Melbourne, Stanford University, Harvard University and the University of London and has a Master of Business and PhD degrees, together with postdoctoral, postgraduate, and undergraduate qualifications in economics, finance, and engineering.
Efim Tkatchew (Executive Director, Corporate Management)
Efim joined Hastings in November 2008 and has 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He is responsible for the review, management and leadership of the Finance, Risk Management, Information Technology, Operations and other corporate support functions.
Prior to joining Hastings, Efim was Chief Operating Officer at Dearborn Capital Management in Chicago. His previous experience includes senior positions at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, State Street, Dresdner Bank in Australia, and internationally, with Credit Suisse.
Efim has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Jane Frawley (Executive Director, Legal, Company Secretariat & Compliance)
Jane joined Hastings in May 2010 and is responsible for the legal, secretariat and compliance functions.
Prior to joining Hastings, Jane was General Counsel, Products & Services at AXA Asia Pacific where she led a team of financial services and litigation lawyers. She was also a Director and Company Secretary for several subsidiaries, managed business projects and represented the company at various industry bodies and forums.
Jane held various senior roles at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) where she was involved in investigations, takeovers, litigation, policy development and managing the Victorian Regional Office.
Jane has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University and a Graduate Certificate in Management Competence from the Australian Institute of Management. She also has a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Superannuation) from the Association of Superannuation Funds Australia. She is a member of the Consumer Credit Advisory Committee, a Victorian government body, and a Director of a not for profit organisation supporting women in prison.
Jeff Pollock (Executive Director, Infrastructure)
Jeff joined Hastings in April 2008 and has broad experience in asset management and operations. He has also held various directorships. In his current role, Jeff is Head of Listed Infrastructure, Chief Executive Officer of the ASX-listed Australian Infrastructure Fund (AIX) and a member of the Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Hastings, Jeff was Chief Operating Officer at Babcock & Brown Infrastructure (BBI) where he was primarily responsible for the management and operations of infrastructure and utilities in the transport and energy sectors. Previously, Jeff was Chief Financial Officer of Prime Infrastructure/BBI.
Jeff has a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Glasgow, and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland since 1988.

Lisa Henderson (Director, Marketing & Client Services)
Lisa joined Hastings in 2007 and leads the corporate marketing and client services function for Hastings globally. She is responsible for promoting Hastings to a wide range of external stakeholders in Australia and offshore and providing high quality servicing to Hastings institutional clients. Lisa is an experienced marketing professional with more than 24 years’ experience as a senior marketing and communication specialist at some of Australia’s most well known financial services brands.
Prior to joining Hastings, Lisa was Head of Marketing, Product and Online Banking for ANZ Business Bank, Group General Manager Segmentation, ANZ Retail Bank and General Manager Marketing for The Suncorp Group. Lisa has also held senior marketing positions in JP Morgan Investment Management and Citigroup Asset Management.
Lisa has a Master of Marketing from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Management Communications from Deakin University, Victoria.

Peter Johnston (Executive Director, Infrastructure)
Peter joined Hastings in March 2011 with an infrastructure career spanning more than 16 years. His experience ranges from corporate finance advisory for an integrated utility to portfolio management, transactions, co-investment and investor relations. As a key member of Hastings’ senior investment team, Peter is jointly responsible for the Australian unlisted infrastructure equity team and leads The Infrastructure Fund and Westpac Essential Services Trust teams.
Prior to joining Hastings, Peter spent nine years at Macquarie in various senior roles across Macquarie’s Capital Funds, Listed Funds and Private Placement Group. Peter’s previous experience includes a senior investment role with Industry Funds Management and positions at KPMG Corporate Finance and Multinet Gas.
Peter has a Bachelor of Economics degree from Monash University, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. He is also a qualified CPA and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia.

Peter Siapikoudis (Director, Infrastructure )
Peter joined Hastings in March 2008 and has more than 18 years’ experience in investment management and consulting. He is Chief Operating Officer of The Infrastructure Fund (TIF) and a director on the Boards of Envirogen Pty Ltd, Hancock Victorian Plantations Pty Ltd, Grand Ridge Plantations Pty Ltd and Tiaki Plantations Company (NZ).
Prior to joining Hastings, Peter was Manager, Infrastructure Investment for UniSuper’s specialised internal investment department. In this role, Peter managed a $1.2 billion infrastructure investment portfolio and $400 million timberland investment portfolio. He was directly involved in asset management, competitive bids and negotiating trade sales for unlisted infrastructure assets. Previously, Peter spent six years at William M. Mercer where he gained experience as an investment consultant and analyst across the actuarial and asset consulting practice groups.
Peter has a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Monash University and a graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He is also a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Peter Taylor (Executive Director, Infrastructure)
Peter joined Hastings in March 2000 and is Deputy Chairman of the Investment Committee. Peter was the Responsible Executive for The Infrastructure Fund between July 2000 and June 2006 and Chief Operating Officer of the Utilities Trust of Australia (UTA) between January 2004 and September 2010. Based in the US since 2006, Peter established our North American business, building strategic relationships and partnerships and furthering our managed funds’ objectives in new investment opportunities, equity asset management and capital raising in the region.
Peter has successfully led a number of key projects including the acquisition and merger of UK water companies, Mid Kent Water and South East Water, the development of the Zachry Hastings Infrastructure Partners relationship and the Southwest Generation and Freeport LNG acquisitions. He has also been director on several Boards including Perth Airport, Queensland Airports Ltd, NT Airports Ltd, Interlink Roads, Port of Portland, Epic Energy, Global Renewables, Mid Kent Water, South East Water, Southwest Generation and State Highway 130 Segments 5&6.
Prior to joining Hastings, Peter worked in the Structured Asset Finance division at Deutsche Bank and at a number of chartered accounting firms in Brisbane and Sydney.
Peter has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the Queensland University of Technology, majoring in business and taxation law, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Richard Hoskins (Executive Director, Infrastructure)
Richard joined Hastings in May 2006 and has over 20 years’ experience in the finance industry. He is a member of the Investment Committee and is jointly responsible for the Australian unlisted infrastructure equity team. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Utilities Trust of Australia (UTA).
Richard has represented Hastings as director on the Boards of many companies including Perth Airport, Epic Energy, Interlink Roads, Statewide Roads, Port of Portland. He has also managed some of our largest and most complex transactions including South East Water, Perth and Melbourne Airports and Freeport LNG.
Prior to joining Hastings, Richard was a partner of Mallesons Stephen Jacques, where he specialised in project and infrastructure finance and spent his last six years there acting for Hastings’ investments.
Richard has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
Steve Rankine (Executive Director, Infrastructure Debt)
Steve joined Hastings in May 2008 with extensive experience in advisory, project, structured and leveraged finance transactions. He was involved in the additional investment and partial sale of UK water company, South East Water, indirect investment in Sydney Airport and the Mater Hospital PPP in Newcastle. Steve is a member of the Investment Committee, leads the Alternative Debt Team and is the Chief Operating Officer of the ASX-listed Hastings High Yield Fund (HHY). Previously based in London, Steve was responsible for Hastings' operations in the UK and Europe.
Prior to joining Hastings, Steve headed Westpac’s Debt Capital Markets Team and established and managed the Project and Structured Debt Team.
Steve has a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1984.
Valeria Rosati (Executive Director (UK))
Valeria joined Hastings in May 2006 and is a member of the Investment Committee and the Senior Executive team. Based in London, Valeria ls responsible for origination of investment opportunities, execution and structuring of transactions and management of portfolio companies across the UK and Europe. Valeria is a director on the Boards of South East Water group and a member the Investor Committee of the HOCHTIEF AirPort Capital.
Prior to joining Hastings, Valeria executed and advised on a large number of infrastructure and other transactions at Gleacher Shacklock, Merrill Lynch (European Energy and Power) and Lehman Brothers (European Mergers and Acquisitions).
Valeria has a Bachelor Degree in Business and Economics (Honours) from the University L.U.I.S.S. Guido Carli in Rome.
