Overview
Hastings Hancock International Timberland Fund No.
1 (HHIT) is an unlisted unit trust that invests directly in unlisted timberland
assets. HHIT's investments are located in Australia and New Zealand and the portfolio
aims to deliver a balance between long term high yield cash flow and capital
growth.

Strategy
The investments of HHIT will:
· Primarily focus on softwood rather than
eucalyptus or other hardwood species
· Primarily focus on log markets rather than
woodchips and pulpwood
· Focus on existing plantation timberland with
an operating track record
· Not be old growth or other natural forests
· Ensure that harvesting policies are such that
the yield from its forests is environmentally sustainable
